We Invest in the Best
At Bridge Eye Care we utilise technology to ensure we protect, diagnose, and enhance your vision. We have equipped our practice with some of the most sophisticated diagnostic instruments available. These tools allow our optometrists to see more, detect issues earlier, and tailor care with exceptional precision. Whether managing an existing condition or providing the most thorough assessment possible, our commitment to innovation ensures you receive the highest standard of care, today and into the future.
OPTOS
The Optos takes a very wide, detailed photo of the back of your eye, helping us detect problems earlier than with standard cameras. It also shows signs of general health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, making it a valuable part of your eye check.
OCT
It is a non-invasive scan that takes images of the layers of the retina, specifically the optic nerve and macula. It allows the Optometrist to see below the surface of these structures and more easily diagnose glaucoma and macular degeneration along with a variety of other ocular conditions.
VISUAL FIELD
A visual field test checks your central and peripheral vision for blind spots. It’s important for monitoring eye health, detecting neurological issues, and meeting driving requirements.
AUTOREFRACTOR
An autorefractor is a quick, computerised test that provides an estimate of your glasses prescription. It’s especially helpful for young children, people who find communication difficult, and patients who have recently had cataract surgery.
CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHER
A corneal topographer creates a detailed 3D map of the front of your eye. The cornea provides most of your focusing power so any irregularities can affect vision. This scan helps detect conditions like keratoconus or dry eye and is also used to accurately fit contact lenses.
